The advantages of braided lines over monofilament lines are numerous, but the first and most important asset is their breaking strength at the knot or linearly. There are multiple situations where a smaller line diameter helps us achieve a much more elegant presentation of the bait on the hook or the fishing lure.

Of course, the strength provided by a braided line is also an advantage if we are fishing in snag-prone areas, where we need to prevent the fish from escaping during the fight.

Evidently, a thin diameter and greater strength also mean longer and more accurate casts.
