For many method feeder enthusiasts, the heart of this technique lies in preparing the groundbait and the actual feeding process. If these two operations are performed correctly, then the terminal tackle of our line must receive the greatest attention. Correct calibration of the hookbait is vital for the results of a fishing session.
The more correctly balanced a hookbait is, the better the results will be. Regardless of whether we use pop-ups, wafters, or any other floating or sinking hookbait, a good hook will facilitate perfect mechanics, which significantly reduces the percentage of missed bites.
Although most round hooks are not equipped with a barb, Benzar Zsolt tried the micro barb version, which ensures a firm hookset and prevents the fish from escaping. The applied Teflon layer facilitates three times more efficient penetration during hookset.
